Therapy with Chelsey

I believe therapy should be a collaborative, compassionate, and deeply affirming experience. From our very first session, you will be welcomed into a space where your individuality is honored, your voice is heard, and your lived experience is respected. I approach therapy with warmth and curiosity, inviting you to explore not only your challenges, but also your strengths, desires, and hopes for the future.

Our sessions are shaped around your unique needs and may include exploring patterns in your relationships, processing painful experiences, or uncovering new ways of understanding yourself. I work from an inclusive and anti-oppressive lens, recognizing the impact that systems of power, privilege, and oppression can have on mental health. Together, we’ll challenge limiting beliefs and dismantle internalized systems that no longer serve you, making room for healing and new growth.

You can expect our work together to feel supportive and safe, while also gently challenging when it serves your progress. I will walk alongside you in your healing journey, offering reflection, skill-building, and guidance as you grow more aligned with your vision of your best self. Whether you’re seeking individual therapy or support as a couple, our work will be centered on fostering self discovery, emotional well-being, and deeper connections.

  • I totally understand that life happens and schedules can shift unexpectedly. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions missed or canceled with less notice are billed a missed session fee. This rate is based of your insurance pay out rate.

  • All sessions take place virtually through Alma’s secure telehealth platform, which allows us to connect from the comfort of your own space. I am not offering in-person sessions at this time. For the best experience, I encourage you to join session from a safe, calm environment where you feel comfortable sharing openly.

  • Getting started is simple. First, book a free 15-minute consultation through the Alma portal by clicking the “Book” button on this website. We can meet virtually face-to-face or by phone—whichever feels most comfortable for you. In that call, we’ll get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit before moving forward with therapy. Alma will also verify your insurance ahead of time, so you’ll know exactly what to expect in terms of your rate.

  • I’m licensed independently in Rhode Island, where I can accept insurance for therapy sessions.

In New York, I practice under the supervision of Richard Mills-Malangone at Laike Rising Therapy.

No matter where you’re located, we can still work together—if you’re outside these states, I offer services in a coaching capacity at my out-of-network rate.
